FLOU Institute is a non-profit organization that works to bring together collective experiences, techniques and knowledge. We aim to inspire and equip our participants to develop creative and transformative solutions, and to encourage a collaborative and sustainable culture.
FLOU offers transdisciplinary programs, classes, workshops and immersions via its four foundational pillars: ancestral wisdom and integral health, sustainability, culture without fronteirs, and reforestation/bioconservation.
Brings the “forest” closer to urbanites, offering sustainability and cultural activities of shorter duration. In its program you will find regular weekly classes, biorefurbishing and bioremodeling activities, lectures and workshops on sustainability themes and shamanic practices and therapies.
The first place of action of FLOU Institute. The focus of this space is to act as a licensed IBAMA (Brasilian Government Institute of Environment and Resources) conservation area for the rehabilitation of wild animals rescued from illegal traficking.
The newest headquarters of FLOU Institute, is in a rural region, and contains around 60 acres of deforested and virgin Atlantic Rainforest area. The focus of this venue is to develop conservation projects, such as soil bioremediation, permaculture, reforestation and agroforestry, alongside long-term courses on bioarquitecture, organic agriculture and shamanic/sustainability immersions with the use of sacred visionary plants.
The establishment of a culture capable of transforming the tensions that threaten life on our planet in an ethical, loving and systemic manner will only flourish with a new form of educating and perceiving the world.
